Community Helpers

Through the use of puppets, story-telling, and games, preschoolers get hands-on experience with key health and safety topics including identifying community helpers and their role in public safety, making good choices to keep their bodies healthy and strong, personal safety skills (including stranger danger and water safety) and building positive friendships. The Community Helpers program gives children a broad perspective of all the resources working to keep our community safe. Using teambuilding and role-play, children identify the different roles of community members, leaders, and helpers, and their own roles in promoting personal safety. Children will have the opportunity to act out different roles and discuss how they contribute to public safety
