YOUTH PROGRAMS
CARES has developed and implemented several classroom programs focused on health promotion, navigating social-emotional issues and building decision-making skills. Many of these programs were created in response to requests from school administrators or faculty and CARES will continue to address these needs as they arise in our community.
CARES also offers skill-building programs for youth which are held after school on a first-come, first-served basis. All programs are free of charge and are held at local youth centers (NCHS, Saxe, Outback, NC YMCA). Spring and Fall offerings are available for many of our programs, however registration response will guide final determination of venue and dates.
Certain CARES programs have also been offered through extra-curricular groups such as Girls Scouts, Boy Scouts, National Charity League, Service League of Boys, etc.
