Are you looking for ways to help your children navigate the tricky waters of social relationships?  If you want to learn how to help them build friendship skills and minimize hurtful behaviors, then this program is for you!

At this program, Meg Domino, CARES' Executive Director, will discuss the stages of friendship and establishing identity.  She'll also clarify how to recognize different types of behaviors..normal, annoying or damaging.  Finally, Ms. Domino will share tips on how to help your kids cope when friendships change and how they can minimize negative behaviors on the playground, playdates and cyberspace!

Come hear how you can steer your preschooler down the road to being a responsible child.  Learn how to foster independence in your preschooler, build their self-confidence AND make your family life easier at the same time!

Some issues we'll address include:
  • What are the appropriate types of responsibility to award your preschooler?
  • How you can guide them through chores and other tasks?
  • How you can RESIST the urge to rescue!
  • Readiness vs. mastery - how to build competence in your child.
